The Full Story

Homegrown Coloradan
Growing up in Colorado, I attended high school in Colorado Springs before earning my undergraduate degree from Colorado State University. Three kids and lots of adventures later, our family of five began searching for a place with great schools, trails, and a strong sense of community. In 2012, we found our home in Littleton on Craigslist! Little did we know, we had just won the neighborhood lottery—neighbors who come together for happy hour on front porches, who enjoy block parties, and help each other in times of need. Our children thrived here, attending Runyon, Euclid, and Heritage High School. Our family loves running, biking and exploring on the Highline, spending time with our neighbors and friends, and spending time on Main Street enjoying live music, cute shops, and great food.
Community Driven
Over the past twenty years I've built a career that included leading a statewide interfaith advocacy non-profit, serving as a pastor, earning a PhD in Religion and Politics from the University of Denver, and leading in community building at state and local levels. Currently, I lead an Institute and teach at the Iliff School of Theology. My experience is in building sustainable and successful organizations and my passion is community development, fostering relationships across differences, and charting paths through our most complicated issues.

Today, with my children grown and my husband of 28 years by my side, I find myself with time, energy, and a deep desire to give back to the community that has given so much to us. I believe that a better world begins at home—through safe, affordable neighborhoods, caring neighbors, thriving local businesses, and opportunities for everyone to participate and flourish.I am committed to fostering a Littleton that is safe, healthy, accessible, and welcome for all generations. Together, we can build a community where every neighbor feels valued, connected, and empowered.
